Good Evening, Baltimore!

And we're off! After checking all 95 youth and chaperones through security, we learned that our flight had been delayed an hour. Even our luggage was forced to wait for the plane!

Here's how we passed the time:

When we exited the Baltimore airport, the humidity hit us like a hot, wet towel.

Rising before us as we drove to our hotel was a magnificent sight: the Washington, D.C. temple, where tomorrow we will be given our first service opportunity, to perform baptisms for the dead.

At the hotel, Mr. Swenson reminded us of our reasons for mounting this tour. Music? No, our two primary purposes are (1) to serve and (2) to share the gospel. Nevertheless, we closed the evening doing what we like best: singing. Here, Mr. Thornton helps us polish the Star-Spangled Banner, readying it for performance in our nation's capital city.

Good night, Baltimore!
